The Australian Macadamia Society (AMS) is the peak body for the Australian macadamia industry, which it has helped drive through decades of development. The AMS represents 75% of Australian macadamia growers, who are responsible for around 85% of Australian production, and offers membership, industry information and resources. Australia has more than 800 macadamia growers across three states, with 15 million trees on 47,000 hectares producing around 44,000 tonnes per year, 72% of which is exported to more than 40 countries.
