Espírito Santo's 2022–24 macadamia increase came on stable harvested area
January 2026 reporting described a 39.8% production increase alongside roughly 660 hectares of harvested area. That does not establish that no new orchards were planted.

Espírito Santo's reported macadamia gains between 2022 and 2024 concerned output from an approximately stable harvested area. Reports published on 7 January 2026 put production at 1,470 tonnes in 2022 and 2,055 tonnes in 2024, with harvested area around 660 hectares. The comparison does not show whether planting outside the harvested area changed.
ES Brasil identifies the state's Agriculture Secretariat, Seag, as the source of the figures. ES Hoje reports the same production series. These reports therefore provide a shared institutional account, rather than two independent measurements. They associate the gains with orchard maturation, technology and management; that explanation is attributed, not proof of each factor's contribution.
The reports also give January–November 2025 exports as 183 tonnes worth US$1.27 million. Production and export quantities are separate measures. The retrieved accounts do not specify nut-in-shell, kernel or moisture basis, so the figures should not be converted into kernel yield or treated as directly comparable.
This is a historical account of reporting published in January 2026, not a current crop estimate. Original publication history is preserved; the correction clarifies the area comparison and the limits of the source evidence.

The January2026 reports describe2022–24 production growth on roughly stable harvested area, not proof of unchanged planting. Figures are attributed toSeag through reporting, production/export periods distinguished and unspecified NIS/kernel/moisture basis kept unknown. Original publication history and original media preserved.
Previously: The headline inferred that no new planting occurred from a stable harvested-area comparison. The duplicated source ledger did not distinguish common institutional origin or production/export basis limits.
